What is an RSS feed?

RSS means Real Simple Syndication. RSS is a new method of delivering online content. It's like subscribing to a radio or TV station. Using either free software or a free account online, you will view a summary or the entire textual content that includes a link back to the web site where the content permanently resides.

Why do I want RSS?
  1. The benefit of RSS for you, the subscriber, is that subscription using RSS is anonymous. You subscribe to receive notices about the topics you're interested in. You read it when and where you want to.

  2. You no longer have to keep checking a web site to see if there is any new content.
